The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) is the only national trade association whose sole focus is the truckload segment of the motor carrier industry. The association represents dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, intermodal container and end-dump carriers operating in the 48 contiguous states as well as Alaska, Mexico, and Canada. The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has for the last 69 years dedicated itself to representing the interests of truckload carriers. TCA is proud to be a member-driven organization, providing benefits and services to our members regardless of size.
Some of their services include sharing new ideas, developing new strategies for the future, and working to ensure safe, high quality, reliable and efficient truckload transportation services.
Members can network with top industry executives to develop new strategies for the future. Committees, task forces and programs are geared toward specific truckload carrier operations and issues.
The Safety page on their web site provides access to the Safety 411 web link, information on catastrophic accident plans and safe backing techniques.
To create success for the truckload industry and the communities it serves.
The TCA honors professional truck drivers that demonstrate unusual kindness, courtesy, and courage. In September, William 'Bill" Sydenstricker, a driver for John Christner Trucking of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, was honored for helping an elderly man in a burning pickup truck. In August, Richard Koss, a driver for L.R. Vincent Truck & Service, Inc. out of Kingsford, Michigan was given the award for assisting a family that had just experienced a rollover accident. The company, L.R. Vincent Truck & Service, also received acknowledgement for Richard Koss' actions.
The Truckload Carriers Association has created "Safety 411" to enable TCA Safety Directors to network with each other on truckload safety and security issues.
