The Mississippi Trucking Association was founded in 1942 and serves as the "voice of trucking" in the state of Mississippi. The MTA Safety Council provides advice and assistance on matters of safety for Missouri Trucking Association members. The Missouri Trucking Association holds an annual convention in June. The MTA offers deserving college students scholarships through the MTA Foundation.
The mission of the Mississippi Trucking Association, Inc., is to serve and represent the interests of the trucking industry with one united voice; to influence Federal and State governmental actions; to advance the trucking industry's image, efficiency, competitiveness, and profitability; to provide educational programs and industry research; to promote safety and security on our nation's highways and among drivers; and to strive for a healthy business environment.
